Já is a service company that has the clear and simple goal of providing the information that people need on a day-to-day basis and making communicating easier. We do this in three ways – through the Telephone Directory (Símaskrá), Já 118 and Já.is. The Telephone Directory is published annually in approximately 200,000 copies. It can be found in most Icelandic households. Já.is, the company’s website, is one of the most visited sites in Iceland, enabling people to find information in the Telephone Directory and Yellow Pages, which provide access to the largest database in Iceland where companies are classified according to their products and services. The service numbers Já 118 and Já 1818 provide information over the phone 24 hours a day throughout the year. We also operate the service number 1811, which provides information on overseas phone numbers.

Já was established in 2005. However, the Telephone Directory has been published for more than 100 years, and our foundations are old and very solid. Since our establishment, we have initiated a number of new services. They include new advertising possibilities on Já.is, completely revolutionised Yellow Pages and switchboard services for companies.
