The telephone directory
The telephone directory is printed in 200,000 copies and is distributed free of charge throughout Iceland. As a result, your advertisement in the directory is seen all over the country and in most Icelandic homes. The Yellow Pages contain over 2000 product and service categories for advertisers. An extensive index makes searching easy.
Advertisement size and framing
- Advertisement widths are 1, 2 or 3 columns.
- Minimum length is 10 mm and subsequent increases are at 5 mm intervals
- The text must be dark on a light background except where advertisements are in colour.
- All advertisements in the telephone directory must be framed, with the exception of full-page advertisements. The thickness of lines in frames is standard and must be ½ pt or 0.176 mm. The frame must have rounded corners with a radius of 1 mm or 2.835 pts.
Submission of advertisements
Purchasers must submit advertisements in a pre-defined format together with a signed trial print. The name, State Reg. No/ID No. and telephone number of the advertiser, together with information on program type and computer type (MAC/PC) must accompany the advertisement.
Note that the advertiser bears the entire cost of preparing the advertisement.
