The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas documents, with lively song and dance, a new Texas legend who now joins The Alamo as a historic institution immortalized in story, song, book, theater and film. The musical was inspired by the real-life, defunct Chicken Ranch, and the big screen version stars Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton as Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd and Chicken Ranch owner Miss Mona, respectively.
