Stockholm Bloodbath

The infamous and power-hungry Danish King Christian II (Claes Bang) will stop at nothing to take over the Swedish crown from Sten Sture (Adam Pålsson). At the same time - a little way outside Stockholm - sisters Freja (Alba August) and Anne (Sophie Cookson) swear to take merciless revenge on King Christian's army, who brutally murdered their family. This leads them to the Swedish capital, where the sisters are drawn into the intrigue surrounding the mass execution that the mad Danish king has ordered - also known as the Stockholm Bloodbath. Action, attitude and dark humor combine in a fictionalized retelling of the events that led to Christian II becoming known in Sweden as Christian the Tyrant.
